About Shipfixing
Shipfixing is a ship chartering platform. Charterers post a ship request, ship operators with suitable ships answer with offers, and the two sides agree the charter between themselves.
What Shipfixing is
Shipfixing is a digital platform that brings charterers and ship operators together. A charterer describes the cargo, the ports, the dates and the type of ship, and we scan for suitable ships. Ship operators that have a suitable ship send an offer, and the charterer chooses. Voyage requests for ships below 10,000 DWT need no signup and no membership.
Who it is for
Charterers are companies that need a ship for a cargo: traders, producers, miners, food and energy companies and the companies that move cargo for them. Ship operators are the companies that provide the ship, and they can add their ships and answer requests that fit. The platform covers voyage, trip time and time charters, and ship types such as dry bulk carriers, tankers, general cargo ships, heavy lift ships and reefer ships.
What Shipfixing does not do
Shipfixing is a digital platform. We are not a ship broker, ship agent or carrier, and we are not a party to any charter. The charterer and the ship operator talk to each other directly and agree the terms, the freight or hire and the charter party between themselves. Read the guide on how to charter a ship for the usual steps, and have a maritime lawyer look at a large contract.
Who runs Shipfixing
Shipfixing is operated by Comdity LLC, 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, Saint Petersburg, FL 33702-4399, USA. For commodity trading between companies, the same team runs the sister site Comdity. The legal texts are in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
